Current project: "Circo Tableware"

Circo is inspired by the industrial production of porcelain plates. It is a process of shaping circular forms, in a quick and inexpensive way, by using the tools of traditional ceramic factories. An electric powered wheel and the negative template sheet.

The silhouette of Circo allows for a multi-purpose use of serving foods. The plates are stacked upon each other on a flat rim and are supposed to have thicker walls then conventional tableware. The inside is glazed while the outside is left unglazed. Then finished with polishing and sanding to get a silk surface. The ambition was to develop a tableware item to suit modern usage and also be more efficient in the production and afterlife of an object of utility.
