Mould Making/Slip Casting - 6 weeks class
The focus is on production and slip casting. You start by modelling a form in clay and taking a mould from it. From that, a plaster cast is made — the base for reproducible porcelain pieces, which are then decorated with ceramic colours, glazed, and fired.
For a more project-oriented approach, you are welcome to bring smaller existing pieces in stone, plastic or wood to cast from. A selection of ready-made moulds is also available from the start, giving you immediate insight into the range of possibilities working with porcelain.
